Hi, This is Scott from Bubs Irish Pub. Thank you visiting our website and considering us as an option for your wedding reception. We are not like other venues. People book with us for many reasons, here are some of my favorites:

* We are Irish!, *We say yes a lot! It’s nice to only have to deal with one person, me. We are an extremely fun, flexible and affordable venue.

We are the Original Affordable Wedding Package Venue the Milwaukee area.

You know exactly what it is going to cost you and our wedding packages are complete. If you are paying for your own wedding, you will love us. If your parents are paying, they will love us. We have great food!! Our staff has been with me for years, and they care. We won’t make you clean up at the end of the night!! We won’t kick you out at 11 or 12 so we can close. We are a bar and stay open until 2:30 am. We welcome you back in the morning with bloody’s & mimosa’s.

Over the past 20 years, we have helped people celebrate over 8000 parties and almost 600 weddings / receptions. We care one event at a time!!

Bub's Irish Pub

Where you are treated as our friends

The first question we are asked is… “Who is BuB?” The short answer is that there is no BuB. The story goes like this…

In the 1990’s I was spending most of my free time with my kids whom were Irish Dancers with the Trinity Irish Dancers. They would compete in feis’s, fests, competitions and shows. The fathers of the dancers would spend a lot of time together waiting for the kids to dance. The group of dads became good friends, created fund raising activities and even created some “dad” events like golf outings and checking out some of the local Irish Pubs for a pint or two. One night, one of the guys said, “We need a name for our group.” Several dads said they were heading over to Ireland soon and would come up with a name.

In the spring of 1999, a group of fathers of the Trinity Irish Dancers went to the World Championships of Irish Dance. They checked in to their hotels, got settled and decided to check out a local pub across the street. As lore has it, they walked in to the pub, sat down on their stools and the woman bartender said, “What’ll you have… Bub?” The guys looked at each other and one of them said, “That’s it, we’re going to be Bubs!”

They were treated as we treat our friends, our buddies or our pals. In that single moment, they brought back a part of Ireland to America and we are carrying on that spirit. The Bubs have continued their traditions. They volunteer, host fundraisers, have golf events and yes, still get together to hoist a pint or two a local Irish Pubs. In 2003, we asked “The Bubs” for permission to use their name for our new Irish Pub theme. They said, “As long as you have Guinness on tap, you can use the name.”

This Historic Site… 115 Years And Counting

This historic site has been “THE PLACE” to go in the area since the late 1890’s. Originally a Dance Hall and Saloon, bowling was added in the early 1900’s and the banquet hall was added in the 1940’s. The history includes business names like The Town Bowl, The Rose – Ed, & Reuter’s Germantown Bowl.

In 1997 we bought the building, opened as The Cactus Cantina & Desert Bowl and have been evolving the space ever since. We are honored to be the stewards of this great place and carry on the tradition of being “THE PLACE” to go… even today, 115 years later and counting.

Line danced here one night, good vibes with many people engaging, would recommend. Didn’t eat here, so not sure how food and drinks are. Came here because Wisconsin Bootkickers were here.

I co-hosted my daughter’s Bridal Shower recently at Bub’s. They were very accommodating. Scott was great to work with.. They have great options on their catering menu, and will allow you to complement with additional cold sides if you so choose. Everyone that attended thought our bartender Rebecca was very attentive, super friendly and quick, especially for how large of a group we had! Not one negative comment was made to me about the whole event. Thanks for a great experience. We would recommend this venue to ALL!

Idk what all these bad reviews are about, but this is the best bar in town! Food is great with a huge selection to choose from. The atmosphere is top tier with bands playing every weekend on top of other events they have there. They are extremely involved in the community of Germantown as well! I recommend this bar and grill 100%!!! Staff and owner are extremely friendly and accommodating!

I cannot say enough good things about Bub's. This is the second time I have had a shower at Bub's. My daughter was so impressed at how her bridal shower turned out that she requested that I have her baby shower at Bub's too. Scott was so easy to work with. He listened to what I needed and quoted me prices that did not change. He responded to my emails in a timely manner. The manager Heather, set up the room to accommodate our needs. The mimosa bar was excellent. Heather made sure our soda and and juices stayed full. She was so professional and helpful. I am once again so satisfied with Bub's. Wonderful establishment. Very impressed!!! Many thanks to them!!!
